Tualatin Commons Evening Lake Reflections

Tualatin Commons Evening Lake Reflections

We recently spent some time in Tualatin, Oregon, just south of Portland. We stayed at a beautiful hotel, (The Century Hotel, the Building on the left) that backed up to Tualatin Commons Park. Most evenings we took a walk around this beautiful lake and watched the change of the guards. It seems the Geese take the day shift, and leave with quite a bit of fanfare an hour or two before sunset. Starting around that time, the ducks start to come in for a very entertaining waterskiing landing.

Asilomar Sunset

The end of a beautiful day in Monterey. This is Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove at the tip of the Monterey Peninsula, one of my favorite places to watch the sunset!

Asilomar State Beach Sunset Monterey

An amazing sunset at Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove, California. The Monterey Peninsula has no end of beautiful views. As the golden sunset light stretches across the beaches the show only gets better. The only real problem is choosing just one place to sit and enjoy the evening.

Pacific Grove Sunset

This is from a couple of nights ago. It was a beautiful evening. Of course right at this very spot the wind was almost strong enough to knock me over at one point. But it was still very beautiful. I'm posing it a bit late (it's not actually the 28th anymore I know!) but I do have a bunch of trip shots to get online. Unfortunately the trip was too short with too many cool things to do. With a couple of projects going now that we are back in town, I'm keeping my system busy processing photos. But I'll get new things online as fast as possible.

Monterey Wave

Yesterday was a fun day. We ate good food and cruised around Monterey. There was just enough wind to make the waves interesting. But not enough to make you feel like you were going to have your skin removed if you stood outside for more than a minute. That's the way it's been in the past when we have been there. A couple of years ago they even lost some trees and had other serious trouble.
